Powder coating

Electrostatic coating is a manufacturing process that employs charged particles to more efficiently paint a workpiece.   During this process, electrically charged particles of the powdered coating and the material that is to be coated attract each other. The powder is charged by an electrode in the spray gun. The workpiece is grounded in a manner that promotes an electric field which draws the coating onto the workpiece.

The subsequent curing of the coated materials at temperatures between 160C  and 200C ensures that the applied powder particles are interconnected to form a smooth and even surface finish.
The powder paints (on a polyamide, epoxy or polyester resin basis) generally offers good protection against scratching, impact, corrosion and UV exposure. Powder paints are available in almost all RAL colors and can also be used for decorative purposes.
